Core technology principle of portable oxygen concentrator

The portable oxygen concentrator, abbreviated as POC, has three core technologies: 1) molecular sieve; 2 is the compressor, and 3 is the battery.

Using molecular sieve pressure swing adsorption (PSA) technology, nitrogen and oxygen separation is achieved through a cyclic process of pressurized adsorption and depressurization desorption: the air compressor pressurizes the ambient air to 2-3 atmospheres, and the compressed air enters the molecular sieve adsorption tower. Nitrogen is selectively adsorbed, and the oxygen concentration of the oxygen rich gas output system can be stably maintained at 90% ± 3% through a flow control device, which meets the requirements of Class II medical device standards.

Lithium based molecular sieves must be used, and they must be high-efficiency molecular sieves. This new type of molecular sieve has good adsorption effect, high oxygen concentration, stable oxygen concentration, long service life, and slow decay.

The battery uses 18600 cells, with sufficient storage capacity, fast charging, long endurance, slow decay, and safety.

In addition, to adapt to special environments such as high altitude, some portable oxygen concentrators are equipped with automatic compensation technology for high altitude oxygen output. This technology can monitor altitude in real time, automatically compensate for the loss of intake due to thin atmosphere, and ensure stable and reliable oxygen output in high altitude environments.  

On the basis of maintaining core PSA technology, the new generation of products is improved by adopting high-capacity batteries to extend usage time, designing replaceable molecular sieve modules to simplify maintenance, and applying DC frequency conversion technology to reduce operating noise and energy consumption, aiming to adapt to different usage environments.
